Rosie O'Donnell speaks out on Iran and 9/11 (3/29/07)

This is to good not to post. I don't particularly care for Rosie but here she demonstrates very intelligently what many of us that have concerns about this administration really are thinking. It is the job of Americans to discent and have concerns about our Leaders. Our founding fathers believed that very strongly. It is one of the reasons the right to bear arms was written into the constitution. We need to be skeptical. We need to be independent. It is our job to question our leaders. The are put in power by us and they are not infallable. They come with agendas and look out for their best interests. Our government is to wrapped up in the companies that fund the campaigns. This needs to change. Be a skeptic. Be informed. Seek information. That is your job as a citizen.

Tour of Utah Canceled

Okay people! You loved cycling when Lance was riding. You bought a trek. You bought a ridiculous amount of U.S. Postal junk and discovery kit! I am serious. This is ridiculous. Tour de Georgia almost gets canceled now they dump Utah. What happened? Tour of California was a big hit but the other big american stage races are truly struggling. Why do you ask? I think it is because most of the Lance Army is starting to abandon and doesn't get that there is life after the trek riding wonderkin. So listen up... There are other riders than Lance. There are other bikes than Treks. And.... There are other races than the Tour. So.... get off your butts and start riding and supporting cycling. Join a club, watch Versus so they don't dump cycling coverage, and most of all ride.......
Whew..... I feel better now.
Ciao for now!

Floyd Landis Interview

This is a good recent interview with Floyd. I honestly think Floyd's biggest problem is that he is not as polished or articulate as Lance. But, to be honest, this is why I like the guy. Good luck Floyd.

Bjarne Riis Responds to Doping Allegations

Bjarne is facing new allegations from a former employee of the T-Mobile team when Bjarne was racing for them. The guy is saying Bjarne and some other racers used epo during that time. The man also stated that Zabel refused to use the drugs. He said Bjarne very often raced with a hematocrit above 50% (not illegal at the time, but now is the ceiling allowed by the uci). Here is Bjarne's rebuttal:

"I have never had a particularly close relation with Jef D'hondt and he has no validation for the allegations he is making," said Riis in a statement released on Monday evening. "There will always be someone out there trying to make money by talking about the past and in my opinion that is probably what he is trying to do here.
"This is probably not the first nor the last time these kinds of stories surface," he continued. "To me, it's all in the past and I do not wish to be held accountable every time someone finds it interesting to bring up some ten-year-old story. I truly believe the future is much more important than the past. I want to be judged on the work I'm doing with my team today, and the results we achieve - that is what's important to me."

Not exactly a strong denial. Now don't get me wrong, I like Bjarne and I like CSC alot. I hate the doping speculation. I don't know if this will ever end. I think the leaders of our sport are and were so caught up in doping in the past that it will be impossible for them to be the true policemen of our sport. This is why the UCI needs to have standardized strict protocols and not leave it up to the teams. This would level the playing field and allow the best riders to win races, Not those with the best drugs.

What Natalie Maines thinks of George W. Bush

O'Reilly: "These are dumb stupid women that deserve to be slapped around." The comments from the Media in this say everything about what went wrong in this country over the last 6 years. Don't watch this if you mind hearing a little profanity from Natalie Maines. I personally have said it many times about our President.

Prairie Roubaix II

Scoot Scoot Found Guilty! Is Cheney Far Behind?

Well, Scooter Libby was indicted on four of five counts today and faces up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million dollars. I think Cheney owes him atleast that much for taking the fall for him. Cheney could probably afford it to with all the money in stock options he has from Halliburton. No doubt they are worth alot more after Cheney set up all those no bid contracts Halliburton got for "serving" the troops in the debacle in Iraq. The big question is will Cheney get served next in this or will he get off without as much as a slap on the wrist.

Cycling is upon us. Tour of Californina was great. American cycling fans came out in droves. Het Volk was this weekend. Pozzato won in convincing fashion. And many peoples favorite to win the tour Alejandro Valverde won at Volta a La Comunidad Valencia. He is starting fast and was in good form. Cyclism on Versus (OLN) starts today with a season preview and the latest on the Floyd situation. I have included a link to the Schedule page on the Versus website in the links section.
