Liquigas signed Ivan Basso today even though all of the pro tour teams had agreed that he would be banned from signing with a protour caliber team for 4 years after his suspension ended. They then dropped out of the pro cycling team association sighting that the group no longer reflected the reality of cycling or the needs of Team Liquigas. Liquigas signed Ivan Basso today even though all of the pro tour teams had agreed that he would be banned from signing with a protour caliber team for 4 years after his suspension ended.
